Frequently asked questions
How is the moon phase calculated?
From the positions of the Sun and the Moon at ten in the evening on that date, in your time zone. The result is the phase seen that night, with the illuminated percentage. From the southern hemisphere the moon looks rotated: if that is your case, tick that box.
What if there was a new moon that night?
The print shows the disc almost dark, because that is how it was. If you prefer a more visible moon, you can use another meaningful date, such as a christening or a first birthday.
How many moons fit on one print?
From one to five. With one, the moon fills most of the print; with several, each has its name and date underneath.
What exactly do I get?
A PNG file at 300 dpi, ready to print in eight sizes, from 20 × 25 cm (8 × 10 in) to 50 × 70 cm (20 × 28 in), including A4 and A3. Nothing physical is shipped.
Can I fix a mistake after paying?
